Details:

Online sites require people to agree to their terms of service. Obviously a lawyer would be better at this, but I'd like to draft my own and have a lawyer review it later. While I can go around and browse at other sites' terms of service, is there a resource that explains the basic requirements? I realize that my particular site would have its own particular set of terms but I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything necessary.

I would suggest you find the largest site with a business model closest to your site's model and copy the Terms of Service from that. Be especially careful if you want to protect any Intellectual Property such as patents or copyrights. Then have an IP lawyer review your TOS.
I wish I could give you samples, but they really need to be tailored toward your site. For example, if you sell books, take Amazon's TOS.

Do you know what I do? I find a site that's similar to mine in topic, then just use their TOS and adjust it to my needs... you can also find TOS templates online, but they'll be very basic and not as focused as another site's would be.

Operating Agreements
Similar to bylaws and resolutions, operating agreements establishes the "ground rules" for a Limited Liability Company. LegalZoom's Stand Alone Operating Agreement is ideal for newly formed LLCs or existing LLCs that need a set of customized operating rules.

Standard Package $99.00

But really, I would just look at other sites agreements, grab 20 of them, and put my own together.
