Details:

When I walk, my right foot hurts. When I woke up this morning, it has been that way all day. When I don't walk, my foot feels fine. Its just when I walk does my foot ache. What do you think is causing this and any ideas on how to make the pain go away when I walk?

If your heel or the middle part of your foot hurt when you walk it’s more likely plantar fasciitis, if it’s your big toe it’s more likely to be gout!

"You might have strained it yesterday"

Sometimes when you hurt a muscle the pain doesn't show up until the next day, especially if you were overexerting yourself.

The other option is a stress fracture - I've had one in the top of my foot that came out of nowhere and hurt really bad. For that you have to see a doctor.

Bummer. I really can't think of why that is. Are you a sleep walker? Maybe you hurt your foot when you were sleep walking. Do you own roller blades or some other wheeled shoe? You might find rolling less painful than walking. Otherwise, you might try hoping on your left foot only while hold your right foot up in the air a little bit. Be careful though 'cause I hurt myself pretty bad one time when I was hopping. Best not to drink too much alcohol if you try the hopping thing. Good luck :-)
