"I do wear it everyday"

I'm afraid this is going to be a boring answer.

I wear jeans every day. I love blue jeans

I wear my jeans until they get Holey- they are always blue jeans by the way, no black for me.

I can't just toss them either, They usually get a hole in the crotch from frequent washings, so I usually try to keep them to make stuff out of, as patches in the crotch area never hold.

here are some ideas to use for old blue jeans:

pot holders, placemats,  (you can keep the pocket in the piece of fabric and put silverware into them and wrap them up with a ribbon for dinner party

quilts--very durable, use heavy duty thread though

overnite bags,--my daughter made a drawstring pouch for her sleepover bag

backpacks, purses, they have pockets already in them!

use your bedazzler and bedazzle a piece for a nifty picture frame

use to make a scarecrow, but for you folks that are troubled with squirrels, this won't help deter.Squirrels are too one-track minded to be fearful of a "fake" person.

cover a journal, or a notebook to make into a journal (very neat! journals in stores are expensive, a notebook costs, about 1.50)

wheel chair tote or walker tote; for your loved one to carry their stuff easier

custom camera bag --directions:

use as gift wrap for a small package

lunch bag

stockings for Santa to fill

have fun with your jeans!

"I think of denim as a true neutral in our society."

I wear jeans on a regular basis and love my denim skirts. I think denim skirts are very cute! I feel that I can throw on a great pair of jeans, a great blouse or sweater, heels, and good jewelry and I'm dressed up. I can also throw on a pair of jeans, usually older ones very worn in and comfortable, and a tank top or other casual top (I don't wear t-shirts) and I'm dressed for even the most casual of activities.

There is nothing like a great pair of worn in jeans that fit perfectly! I remember once reading years ago that a very old pair of Cher's jeans were stolen from a cleaners. She went so far as to offer a reward for them because she knew it would take her years to find another pair that fit as perfectly and then to get them all worn in. I always wondered if she got them back but I suspect that she didn't.

I do wear dresses on a regular basis and I wear suits or more formal wear when I have to attend big meetings downtown for work. I don't like a denim dress although I have seen them. It just seems too heavy of a fabric for me to have for a dress. I like dress fabric to be lighter.

"I love the stuff..."

but I work in a very old-fashioned place in terms of dress-code. I wear blue jeans to work maybe once a month (and if I do, it'll be on a Friday). In the winter, I'll come home and change into jeans, but in the summer, I'm wearing light cotton dresses--we don't have air conditioning! Spring and fall, I've got a denim jumper I wear some, but as it looks like play-clothes, I can't really wear it to work.

I miss it! My last job, I could wear my jeans or jean skirt or jumper whenever I wanted. But I'm not really complaining. This job pays A WHOLE LOT more, and it's worth the tighter dress code, any day.

My neighbor has a skirt very like this, made from very soft, lightweight denim. Wish I had one like it!

"Denim"

Actually, not as much anymore.  Although I did have some denim shorts on today, but they are my "around the house" shorts, something I don't wear out of the house.

I'm not as comfortable in jeans any more, it seems, and prefer khaki pants or some other kind of comfortable cotton pants that don't feel as constricting to me as jeans usually do, or dress up a bit more for meetings and other events.  Plus, the idea of wearing jeans this time of hear makes me feel hot and uncomfortable just thinking about it--it's just too heavy and hot!

I used to live in them, but not so much anymore...I don't own any jean skirts or capris at all.
