Not very long before the first moon landing, I got Neil Armstrong out of the shower and shaved all his chest hair off.  Then I scrubbed him down with acetone, instrumented him, and turned him over to the technicians to be inserted into his suit.  He never said a word.

I was kicked out of high school in my junior year for flunking all my courses and being "incorrigible" and never finished high school nor did I get a GED.  But I completed three graduated degrees and finished my career as a full university professor.

My first wife was one of Lyndon Johnson's speechwriters and I spent three years living in Georgetown, just a few blocks from the Navel Observatory and the National Cathedral.  I was on a first name basis with Lynda Bird Johnson.

Truth or lie?

1.   When I was a teenager I went to a dance at a fairly new but small ski lodge about 15 miles from my home.  I met a really cute English guy there and we got to talking.  He started telling me some pretty tall tales that I found more and more difficult to believe, but since he was so cute I just let him talk.  But when he got to the part about how he also knew the Monkees personally, (having grown up with Davy Jones of course), I thought he was stretching things a bit too far.  But when he asked me to fly to California with him on his private jet the following week to actually MEET the Monkees --- because he was to be the drummer on one of the songs on the Monkees new albums --- I blew him off.  Two weeks later I found out it was all true.

2.  When I was a child I was quite the tomboy and was up for anything.  I had always loved livestock of any kind, especially horses.  And I loved watching professional rodeo on t.v.  One day I was visiting my cousin who owned a farm, and he challenged me to try riding his dad’s (my Uncle’s) old bull.  Since it was a very old and listless bull I figured he wouldn't do much more than run away with me at a slow trot, so I took my cousin up on it.  I ended up breaking my arm in two places when I fell off.  :<

3. Before I was born my dad worked for Al Capone.  He was a "shill" in one of Al’s gambling houses in Chicago.  He wore a small revolver under his jacket strapped to his body in a leather holster.  My mother was so terrified for him my dad finally talked it over with Al and Al let him quit.  So the part about me is that when my dad died I inherited his little revolver.  The holster had fallen apart because it was old, but the gun is just cool.  :>

Ok........which is the lie?  :>
