Question Details:
If I have a stick in my hand and strike them, that's assault with a deadly weapon. If someone hits me, and I hit them back, and it's my word against theirs, we both get arrested and charged with fighting and probably go to jail.
I think we can all agree with this.
So, when the same behavior happens in a professional sports setting, no one is charged - shouldn't they be? Then a player intentionally assaults another player, even in the "heat of the game" shouldn't citations be issued? Especially in hockey, basketball, football and baseball - but not ignoring the other sports.
I think so; what say ye?
