"If you live in the United States, you can receive inexpensive or free child support help"

The US Department of Health and Human Services has an Office of Child Support Enforcement.  By Federal Law each state must provide either free, or inexpensive (a sliding scale depending upon how much money you make) assistance to obtain child support from absent parents.  Go to this website:

http://www.acf.hhs.gov/programs/cse/extinf.html

There is a map of each state in the US.  Point your mouse pointer on the state you live in and click.  The website for the agency that handles child support enforcement for your state will pop up.  If there are a lot of different agencies listed, find the Child Support link and click on it.  This should give you enough information to tell you where your closest office is, and the times they are open and if you need to make an appointment or not.  There may be a telephone number to call.  It is different in each state.  Sometimes it will be a county office that handles these cases.  You will get help filing a claim for any money you have coming to you, and any other things you may have to do.

This is the website for the US Government Office, which also has valuable information about what services are available and where to get them:  http://www.acf.hhs.gov/programs/cse/

There are also private companies and lawyers who do this sort of work, but they will cost much more than the state agency.

I hope I have helped you.

"You can carry him to court, but with nine children and yours being the next, not sure if he would ever make enough"

money to provide for them all.   Of course and this is shutting the barn door after the horse got out, but if you knew that he already had children that he was not providing for, why did you not practice birth control?  If you did practice birth control, everyone best leave this guy alone cause he must really be a fertile myrtle!  Anyhow, you can go to an Attorney and take him to Court and if he is working, they should be able to take money from his pay to send to you for your child.  Take care of yourself....that is important because if you do not take care of yourself, good care will not be given to your little baby.  I wish you luck...and happiness and find someone who loves you just for you..okay ?

I don't think this person is serious, one of the giveaways is, "he already is behind $2,000.00". Seems like child support has already been established, (court ordered), they know good and well the state will go after the father. I think they are trying to get one over on you, and a laugh at your expense.
