I have never had anyone actually harass me on Askville. I have received a few snarky PM’s from people, but nothing that went on and on.  Nothing that I would consider harassment.

I would never think of posting a private message from anyone, even if that person drove me nuts or made me very angry. I think that would be a very low thing to do and would reflect very poorly of myself. If someone continues to sent hateful PM’s just block them and go on.

One thing to be aware of is that when you block someone you can not unblock them so be careful. Sometimes on Askville a person you could not stand ends up being a friend. If you then want to unblock them you can't. I have only two people that have blocked me and the funny thing is that I only sent each of them one PM and it was not really that bad!! I swear to God!!  I guess those two Askvillers must really hate me and as you can see FuzzyGold I did not reveal their names.  :)

"Technically, yes I would. The Askville T.O.S. amount to Amazon owns everything, which then asks you, "Post where?""

You might take the abusiveness and make it a question ("Would you put up with this abuse? What would you do?") That publicizes it while keeping it in Amazon's domain, so they shouldn't complain. The other half of it is a public posting elsewhere is a matter of whether Amazon/Askville would even find out to be able to complain.

Thus, the question to you is whom exactly do you want to publicize this to?

I realize that you're trying to stop this, but it had been 12 hours since the last message was posted and you brought it back to the top. I realize that this will bring it back to the top, too, but it's been 17 minutes instead of 12 hours.

For Wildman, this seems to be a personal conflict with a former friend. I think it's probably better if people don't take sides. The other party hasn't been completely innocent. Starting a new Discussion Board and getting people on your side is not exactly walking away from things. It made things worse. Perhaps if we all just stop bumping this discussion to the top, it will die down.

With that being said, I will try to refrain from doing that again myself.
