Details:

It seems like it could be used for a BBQ, or ornate stone wall. After almost 100 years, the stone was fine, but the mortar was severely erroded, and made the chimney unsafe. We don't use the fireplace anymore, and it was too costly to repair, so we took it down. Now, I've got a pile of nice blocks, and no idea of what to do with them. Is there a market for such things???

"Try calling around to small landscaping or masonry companies in your area."

I'm sure that there is someone somewhere who would love your stone -- you just have to find them!

I would suggest calling around to local stone masons or landscapers to see if they can make use of your blocks.

If that doesn't work, I'd suggest posting a picture and trying to sell them locally on kijiji.com or craigslist. You'd probably find someone interested in them.

Good luck! If I lived closer I'd probably buy them myself!
Sources: My opinion based on my friend who's a landscaper.

"Yellow Pages or Google "architectural salvage""

Architectural salvage companies take pieces of old buildings and sell them. If anyone would be interested in these items, a firm like that would.
Sources: Look for an architectural salvage firm in your area.

I don't know if you have enough bricks to interest them but they may direct you to someone that buys smaller batches
