How do they measure the legenth? Is it them legenth of the entire scissors, or just the blade? 8 inches seems very long for the blades on this one. But it does not really make any scense that they would measure the whole thing, (espically with hair cutting scissors) then, how do you know if the difference between a 6 inch and 7 inch scissors is in the blades or in the handle?

They are 8 inches in length, and I would say the blade is approximately 4 inches of them... you can't go wrong with Henkels knives!
