Questions like this make me feel old because my kids would have no idea who Heckle ad Jeckle even were, but I remember! One talked with a British accent and one talked with a New York accent if I remember correctly.

Haven’t seen Heckle & Jeckle in ages, but I think they were supposed to be magpies.
...and, yep, sure enough, wikipedia confirms it.
