Details:

I've managed to follow directions and hook up just about anything that has instructions...but I can't make this work. It's not as the directions state because the directions don't say anything about if there's a VOIP router (Vonage). Hooked up as the directions say, gives me no internet connection. Can someone walk me through what connects to the back of what and possibly what to unhook and rehook first and second and so on? Thanks so much!! Lisa

OK...

Let's start at the wall...

cable wire from the wall (coax) connects to cable modem.

Cable modem connects to Netgear wireless router. (RJ-45 patch cable)  (put it in the Internet port of the Netgear.  It might be labeled "upstream")

Netgear connects to Vonage box. (RJ-45 patch cable)  (you can use any port on the Netgear, and there should be only one port on the Vonage box that fits)

Vonage box connects to phone. (telephone cord/RJ-11)

A RJ-45 patch cable is used for connecting things Internet (ethernet, actually, but I'm trying not to be too technical), and it looks like a standard telephone connector, but has 8 wires instead of the phone's usual 4 wires.  (the 4-wire telephone version is RJ-11)

If you can be more specific about what model Netgear wireless router you have, and which box (aka PAP) you have from Vonage, I could answer this with more detals.

Good luck - let us know how you make out.

and it's fairly easy, only two cables

Connect the Ethernet port (LAN side) on the cable modem to the WAN port on the Netgear wireless router. Connect any LAN port on the Netgear to the Internet port on the Vonage router.

And you're wireless to your computers of course.
