"Some suggestions for traffic building"

The first thing you need to do is add some content to your Home page! And be sure to include your keywords. You need to explain what your website is about -- not only for traffic purposes, but also for your visitors so they will know what you are offering as soon as they arrive at your site. You can still include the links that you have now to the ’flash’ page and the HTML page, but these should go under your content.

The second thing you need to do is provide a description in the meta tags of your index page. The title and the description are the two areas that Google looks at and uses in their search results. Be sure to include keywords in the description.

You need to give your HTML page a better title ... "News" is not what your page is about.

Other methods for increasing traffic are to write articles about your profession and submit them to places like ezinearticles.com, build a Squidoo page, participate in forums on photography, visit and post on blogs related to photography, sign up with Google Adwords. These are just a few suggestions to get you started.

I sell an Ebook called "Red Hot Traffic in 10 Days." If you’re interested, you can contact me at ebizer at writing-etc.com. (It isn’t available through my website as yet.)

Hope this helps.

"There are many issues that you have with your site that prevents it to be found easily"

I will list a few problems that I immediately saw:

1) Your default page (or index page) redirects you to another page that then only provides two options. Search engine spiders hate this.

2) On your default page your meta tag data is poorly selected. You need to take a closer look at what search phrases you want to rank well on. You can not simply load up the page with single word phrases such as "photo", "buy", "world trip", "jones", and "slave" and expect that any of these will do well. The competition is far far too great for your site to place anywhere on the list.

3) The content of your site needs to match the meta data phrases that you are hoping to do well with. They don't.

Really you need to learn about search engines to hope to do well. You certainly can pay for sponsored listings, but I think that is a waste of money if your site is not ready in other way.

You need to build links from other sites (good sites only), you should do press releases (online) with links to your site, you could write articles that link to your site. Essentially you need more quality links, and then better web code/SEO code to do well.

This takes time. Have patience and work hard.

Good luck!

"Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the key!"

Getting your web site noticed is the result of hard work and a lot of time.  This is all done in a process called Search Engine Optimization (SEO for short).  In order for your Web Site to show up on search engines, you need to ensure a couple of things are in order:

1. Your site's pages need META tags (basically hidden keywords that search engine crawlers use to index your site)
2. Get your site linked to other sites on the Web (the more places a url exists for your site online, the more exposure you are going to get)
3. Consider paying for Google AdWords or some other service that promotes your site on "Featured listing".  This is not as expensive as you may think -- there are many packages such as monthly, pay-per-click, etc.
4. You need to submit your site to all the indexing services.

And that's just the tip of the proverbial iceberg.  Getting your site marketed takes work; however it is not difficult, just time-consuming.  I recommend visiting the following web sites for more information on SEO:

http://www.seochat.com/
http://searchenginewatch.com/

In addition to doing your own search engine optimization marketing, there are several companies out there, mine included :) that can do this for you.  Basically you can get a customized Internet marketing plan and have someone submit your site to indexers for you, help you write link exchange letters to other site owners, and improve the technical part of your site to ensure the Site Map makes sense and the landing pages are appropriate (nothing's more annoying than being #1 on Google only to find out the page the link takes you to is a PDF on your site that's been there for 2 years without a link back to your home page!).

I hope this helps get you started in your quest for more hits on your Web Site!  Please feel free to contact me if you would like more help

"get listed on dmoz.org"

If you get your site listed on dmoz.org, the other search engines will generally pick it up without having to go through the hoops you normally would to submit to the other search engines.  Yes, the search engines will eventually find your site and index you anyway, but getting on dmoz.org will help speed that up.
