"I'm looking for some free game sites. Do you know any good sites for strategy and puzzle games?"

Details:

I have already explored yahoo's games and www.king.com. What else is out there?

I am not looking to download games. I rather play against a person or the clock in live time. Thanks!

I’ve tried out a few of the online gaming sites and Pogo is the best I’ve found.  It has well over 100 free games in many different categories.  It doesn’t specifically have a strategy game category but there are puzzle games, word games, board games, casino games, etc.  There’s a built in chat if you want to talk to people while you’re playing.  You can earn tokens, badges, and a chance at real money.

If you want to check out what you get with full membership there’s a free one month trial membership offer going on thru 3/3/08.  There are instructions for getting the free membership here on slickdeals.  If you search the slickdeals forums there are also lots of ways to get free tokens.

This site has a ton of free games - ones that you can play online against other players and ones that you can download.

 

I have been using this site for many years and have never been disappointed.

If you like word games, you should try the Funster games. I am hooked on What's in a Name, and have played it for years. You find all the words you can make from the words/name they give you, and you are usually competing against another person.  I used to play the regular version, and now I usually go for the Free For All and get points for every word I come up with, rather than only the ones that my opponent doesn't also come up with.

I know you said you have tried Yahoo Games but did you try Word Racer there? That's one of my favorites, too.  You compete against a whole bunch of people to find words in the puzzle.

There is a new site http://www.chewingames.net . They don't have a lot of games but from when they are oline I see new games everyday and every flashgame seems to be choosen manually so all the game that they host are very funny. Try it.
