I made inquiries at Arkiv Music for you and have posted the link to the EMI recording. According to the explanations given by Arkiv regarding the libretto, they informed me as follows:

-------------------

The chances are that the EMI release should have a translated libretto as
this is standard practice with major record labels.

DVDs will not have printed librettos because the English subtitles on screen
fulfill that role.

-------------------------------

Arkiv also gave links to opera librettos but only in their original language so I didn't think this would apply to your inquiry. Amazon.com also has a choice of original language plus English librettos, but I noticed it's only for the major operas and not operettas. However, I will include this Amazon book in case you might be interested in it at some future time.

I hope all of this is useful to you!

Up for bids is this RARE 1974 Opera Record titled Carl Zeller Der Vogelhandler. The record is in Excellent Near Mint Condition. It has been opened and upon examination of the record appears to have never been played or perhaps played once. The vinyl shines and has no scratches that can be observed. Overall, we would consider this rare album to be in Excellent - Near Mint Condition.

Every so often we come across a truly rare collection of items that stand out among the others and become true collector items to those who seek them. Recently, we discovered a huge assortment of books and vintage records that have been safeguarded in the custody of a Virginia state agency. Fortunately, we were able to acquire these books and records and are now making them available to the highest bidder. Most of these these records, including the one stated above, range from Fair and Good Condition to Near Mint Condition or Mint Unopened Condition! All have been stored in a climate controlled environment and have survived the decades ever since they were first produced. Each record is still in its original manufacturer's printed sleeve or casing unless otherwise noted. In the age of CD's and digital music, we do not have a record player, therefore, we can not state what the record sounds like, however, we can say, that our opinion of its condition, as stated above, is based on amount of scratches and overall visual inspection. Quite honestly, a lot of these records look as though they have never been played or have had a average or minimum of play and some appear to have never been removed from their original sleeves.

Latest post on this question's discussion board:

There is a new commercial CD reissue of the complete VOGELHANDLER with Dallapozza, Rothenberger, Holm and Berry recorded in 1974. A complete English translation is included in the new CD set. I believe that the English translation of the SET PIECES ONLY is VERY accurate. While there is a translation of the dialogue printed out in English included with this CD reissie, this dialogue is credited to Gisela Schunck and seems to have been somewhat abridged for some very particular staging in Vienna rather than the ACTUAL dialogue libretto of West and Held. There is no change in the original intent of the storyboard, howevever.
