"Well, I believe in the soul, the cock, the pussy, the small of a woman's back, the hanging curve ball, high fiber, good scotch, that the novels of Susan Sontag are self-indulgent, overrated crap. I believe Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing Astroturf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, soft, wet kisses that last three days."

One of my all time favorite movies and I agree with a lot of Crash's speech, although as a girl, I identify more with Annie's "I believe in the Church of Baseball" speech. But here's mine...

I believe in love and hate and all the emotions in between. I believe in Coca-Cola and French fries. I believe in supporting the soldiers, even when I don't believe in the war. I believe players who are on the juice shouldn't be in the hall of fame, and the designated hitter isn't real baseball. I don't know about Jesus or Allah or Buddha, but I do believe they would want us to get along. I believe a good movie doesn't have to win an Oscar. I believe that reality TV is overrated and that a pitcher's duel is underrated. I believe in the power of a smile. And I believe that the world would be a better place if everyone had to give and receive one sincere hug a day.
