LeheckaG, you are correct that Huckabee and Romney have more substantive administrative backgrounds than most, if not all, of the other candidates. However, we have a "CEO" President now and that hasn't worked out so well.
Frankly the most "qualified" people were McCain and Biden. Only McCain is still in. What bothers me about him is that he is now trying to embrace all of the right wing groups he spent all of his career, until about a year ago, rejecting.
I'm more than a little suspicious of Romney also. His story about why he flip-flopped on abortion bothers me. Seems like he didn't give the issue any serious thought until he had to sign that bill. Just seems like a weak story to me.
Don't get me wrong, I'm a liberal, but just giving my two cents about a couple of those Republicans. The rest of them I couldn't even consider for different reasons that I won't go into (we've had too many looooonnnngggg posts already.)
On the Democratic side, I would've probably gone with Biden. I don't trust Edwards, and he's not really that much more experienced than Obama, who is too inexperienced. Clinton seems too much like more of the same. Besides, I'd like to break the Bush-Clinton funk we seem to be in.
I guess I'm sort of hoping for a late entry. Maybe Bloomberg.
