Hello, I am a final year mech+auto student doing a project on mild nregerative braking, I have to design a system that will fit to a 3 door ford feista.

I plan to have 2 electric motors, one for each rear wheel each with approx 5HP or lower to assist the acceleration of the car.

m=1500kg.
v=40mph to a stand still.
wheel circ= 1.83.

I plan to keep weight low and efficancies high but carn't find a suitible motor.
what motor would be best?
Where can i buy one ?
any addition calculations needed?

I recently found out I have a tax lien on my car (from ten years ago in another state!) I also just had my car totaled and the insurance won't pay until I supply them my title. I couldn't find it, and had to submit for a new one (from the same state the lien is in.) Will that new title show the state as a lien holder on my vehicle?

If you could have anything for your vehicle, what would it be? Or what is your favorite vehicle?

.....our windshield wiper fluid is frozen solid in our cars, even after the car has been running for 15 minutes or so/ But, you go to your local gas station and they bins of washer fluid are in the form of a liquid? They cannot possibly empy and refill every hour.

I had my windshield replaced this summer through my insurance comp., used one of their approved replacement companies and paid my deductable. When the rains came in November my car filled with 2 inches of water all along the floor. I called the original company who replaced the windsheild and they came out again and resealed it for me assuring that the problem was fixed and that if water comtinued to leak into the car it must be a different problem. A day later, it rained and I was left with another inch of water on the floor of my car. Because my car is still under warrenty I took it to the dealer to determine the problem. Sure enough it was the windsheild leaking and they informed me that it would be $1200 to not only replace the window but dry out my car (remove seats and carpet). My car never leaked before the windshield ordeal and now I'm wondering who is responsible for the cost of the interior clean up? Me or my insurance company? I know the windshield will be covered.

My specific problem is when I go to a location that is downtown where they may or may not have their own parking lot and where there may or may not be available street side parking. My current system is to look up addresses online and try to find a parking structure that way or to get where I'm going and then tell my unit I am looking for parking. I can't help but think it would be more convenient if I could put the address I am going to into my unit and then tell it that what I actually want is a place where I can park my car near that destination. Or to have the option of telling it I am looking for parking and that said parking should be near X address. Does anyone know of a unit that does this? Another thing that would be nice is to have a feature where I can say I am looking for a restaurant or gas station that is on my route to where ever it is that I am going. j
