putting a contour bottom bedsheet over a feather bed seems to defeat the "sleeping on a cloud" feeling as the sheet hold the feather bed tightly and makes it more of a pancake. If you sleep directly on the feather bed do I buy a few covers so that I can wash the cover weekly as I would a bottom sheet

I have been rocking my 2 year old to sleep since she was born. She slept in her crib until she was about 7 months old and ever since then she sleeps in the bed with me. I am concerned that she does not even know how to fall asleep on her own. She is also very attached to me. She wakes up in the middle of the night and if I am not facing her where she can see me, she will wake me up and pull my hair to roll me over so she can see my face. My husband and I are ready to have our bed back. I have tried putting her in her own bed but the crying and screaming where she is throwing up is just more than I can handle. Does anyone have any advice on what I can do to get her in her own bed and to sleep on her own! I would appreciate any help I can get. Thank you

I heard from somebody that if you set it as firmest. it will change slightly to soft during you sleep just like the air leaking of a air bed. is it true? I need a firmest bed cause I have back problems.

I have back problems and it has really hard for me to get a good nights sleep. I was looking into a good quality bed between than price range. If you have any experiences with a sleep number or tempurpedic I would love to know. I am also intrested in hearing about the generic versions.

I always have to be right in the middle. For a long time I was a single mother of two little girls and we did not have alot so we all slept in one big bed and I always slept in the middle. So now that is what I am use to and cannot go to sleep unless I am in the middle.

We have twins - one can be laid in her crib and she'll go to sleep on her own and sleep 11 hours without waking. The other is the complete opposite - she MUST be sound asleep before being laid down or she screams. She sleeps on her own until about 2:00 or 3:00 in the morning when she wakes up and the only way to get her back to sleep is to bring her in bed with us. As soon as she hits the mattress between us, she calms down and goes back to sleep, but when we try to move her back to her bed she usually wakes back up. If we leave her in bed with us she sleeps until 6:00 or 7:00 in the morning, which is when her twin (the good sleeper) is waking up. She sleeps in a pack-n-play in our bedroom because she wakes her twin up in the middle of the night if we put them in the same room. The cry-it-out method DOES NOT WORK with her; she doesn't tire herself out by crying; instead she works herself up and wakes up even more. We give up after 1 hour of this. How do we get her to sleep???
