I'm looking for a book to learn Tamil, preferably with audio guide of some sort to help with pronunciation and getting use to how the language sounds. Any recommendations?

I took a watercolor class, as a complete beginner, that was supposedly for "all levels" of painters. Most of the other students in the class had been working with this teacher for over ten years. There was one other beginner with me. The teacher told us that we would have to "learn the basics" from a book. I was really disappointed, but found I couldn't keep up with what the other students were doing? There are no beginning watercolor classes that are close enough or at the right time for me. So, do you think it IS possible to learn watercolor from a book?
