Still, even in abridged translations, Murakami is an impressive and interesting author, well deserving the international acclaim he now receives.
On Sale: July 29, 2008
http://www.randomhouse.com/catalog/display.pperl/9780307269195.htmlCourtesy of former student Gautam, I have just finished reading an advance copy of the book I have been most coveting of all things in the world, Haruki Murakami's What I Talk About When I Talk About Running. It is a small and altogether lovely volume, and here is one of my favorite bits:
http://jennydavidson.blogspot.com/2008/03/tips-on-becoming-running-novelist.htmlThere are not many review pieces out there is English, so this one is a valuable insight into the new book. Since it is autobiographical, it should be at least interesting to a fan like yourself! Even if you have not liked his other non-fiction. and for $13.60, it is not very expensive:

best wishes,
