Ahh, tomorrow nights the start of the big Class Re... more >> Ahh, tomorrow nights the start of the big Class Reunion Weekend!! (oh, joy...!) They are planning a bonfire, and we've been requested to bring a beverage and a "snackage". The hosts are furnishing lemon ade, s'mores, and jello shots. What's something good to bring as "snackage", when there probably won't be refrigeration, it will all be outside where there's a LOT of mosquitoes and hot sticky weather, and it will be dark soon, probably! AND they have chickens that run around and beg for handouts! (I've never had a chicken begging from me before!) Of course, what I bring should WOW everyone that I haven't seen in XX years, too!! LOL! Am I asking for too much?! << less

I am trying to hook up an older computer to the in... more >> I am trying to hook up an older computer to the internet. To give some background, it has been hit by lightning at least once (which fried the original dial up modem), and we replace it with a cheap new modem. It has been riddled with viruses and trojans. It eventually quit being able to connect via the dial up modem. I bought a wireless desktop adapter (installed today) to connect with my new home wireless network. The computer will not receive the auto IP address, and continues to say Invalid IP address. I went around this temporarily by entering a specific address. It is showing that I have an excellent connection to my wireless router; however, when I open the Internet Explorer, all sites entered give the "The page cannot be displayed" error message. I tried to then change the settings back to auto assign IP address, but it just goes back to invalid IP address error. What can I do to get this computer back on the internet? PLEASE HELP ME! :> << less

My garden is producing zucchini at a record pace l... more >> My garden is producing zucchini at a record pace like the "Smoos" (can't remember the spelling, but the more you ate them the faster they multiplied) in the old Sunday funnies cartoon. I have a zucchini bread recipe but we are a little tired of it already. I like stir fry, but my husband hates them. (Maybe there is a recipe out there that he might like a bit more.) So why do my fellow askvillers seem to be fine with awarding four+ stars to someone who has quite obviously copied and pasted their entire answer?
