Why is it ok for African-Americans, Mexican-Americans, and every other "-" American to be proud of race but whitey cant? They can say "Brown Pride" and they are just being "proud of their heritage". I say "white pride" and all of a sudden im a Klansman or a Nazi. Im an american... not a white-American, not a Caucasian-American, not an Aryan-American, I'M JUST AMERICAN! when you put your race before your nationality you do nothing more than prove you are or want to be different than everyone else...no?

I think it's because the other races you mentioned have been subject to subjugation as a race, because of their race at some point in history.

The same holds for being gay or overweight

I'm so tired of the discrimination against white people in American.  Political correctness has put us in a box as the only people in American who cannot express pride in our race or racial background.

If you are a white, Christian person who is proud of your country and believes in the ideals set forth by our founding fathers you better watch out for the hate bombs hurled by the politically correct elitists.

Reverse racism in America is out of control!

God gives you what God gives you; glorify God with what He gives you. "LORD, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is; that I may know how frail I am" (Psalm 39:4).

Because the "white race", unlike the brown or black folks, has done a lot of bad things

Like wipe out several civilizations in North and Central America.  Say 30 million folks.

Once that was done, the whites (with a little help from some Arabs), kidnapped a few million black folks and used them as slaves.

You might also recall the colonial period, where white folks went out to every corner or Africa, Asia, and Oceania and subjugated and killed millions of brown and black folks, and took over their countries.

Then you may recall WW2, where the white folks got sooo ornery, they started killing each other, to the tune of about 30-60 million of them, depending how you count.

Then there's the few 100 thousand the white folks fried at Hiroshima and Nagasaki.  And more thatn that which dies slow painful deaths by radiation afterwards.

Just recently, we USA white folks killed at least 140,000 Iraquis for no discernible reason, and with no remorse, guilt, or apology.

So you see the whole concept of "White pride" is a bit tarnished.  Yes, whites are good at working hard and innovating.  Also reasonably charitable.  But any sense of pride has to be tempered with a very large dollop of shame for our behavior toward others.

No. This country is about individualism, or at least that's what's on all the advertising. People are suppposed to be proud of their heritage/origins, and we count on them to bring the best of that with them when they become Americans. There's absolutely nothing wrong with being a "-American".

Even if someone is born here, there's still nothing "wrong" with being proud of the heritage that bore them. In fact, as I said, Italian-Americans, Polish-Americans, etc. is the best message we can put out there showing how open and accepting a society we have. Especially in the case of African-Americans and Arab-Americans, the best message America can send around the world is the image of them freely celebrating their heritage (or religion), publicly. If terrorists overseas want to spread lies about America, and say that we are waging war against Islam itself, how better than this to counter that propoganda.
