Many magazines on auction sites do not have information on what topics are covered in that issue. I am new to using search engines to find information. I'm interested in finding the contents of various Doll Artisan magazines. Any ideas on how to find this information or a site covering this?

This all stems from the desire to expose my daughter to a bilingual upbringing, I find that there is a massive gap in the market for bilingual and/pr toys that do not contain roman based scripts.

With this in mind I thought it might be time to see if I could do something about it. I simply would like to find a manufacture (preferably UK based) who is willing to create some puzzles and or wooden toys to help with language learning. Any ideas where to look or what I should do??

We refinish furniture, mostly. We use professional equipment and products (spray guns, compressors, mostly pre cat laquer, conversion varnish, ect.) Now out of the blue we have this aluminum carousel horse to re-do for some clients. Any one have any tips and or advice for this type of application? Thanks!

I have a new CONVECTION/CONVENTION oven.

Which should I use to cook my 20 lb. Thanksgiving Turkey? In the past with my convention oven I used a large roasting pan with a lid. I take the lid off the last hour of cooking to brown the Turkey.

I then put other items in to reheat right before serving. What type of oven should be used to reheat these items = Convection or Convention? Thanks.

I'm constantly running into questions, my own and others', where I'll see two, three, or more answers that are nothing but blatant copy-and-paste jobs. They don't give any actual input, often don't credit their plagiarized sources, and nine times out of ten, the information they decided to clutter the question with has very little or nothing to do with the actual question or working towards an answer for the inquiring party.

WHAT CAN WE DO ABOUT THIS?

I know there is the abuse reporting system, but how well is it really working? Half of the questions I read have this problem and I'm getting sick of it. It's bad enough that many questions would appear to have been written by a 7 year-old, but these answers are further frustration. How can pasting a page from wikipedia answer an opinion-seeking question? I come here to kill time and feel useful when I can help somebody with something.

So help me if someone threadcraps here, I don't know what I'll do...

My fridge is across the kitchen from the sink, so there's no easy access to any pipes. We've just renovated, so the floor is tiled, the basement ceilings are closed up--drilling any holes or any additional base work is out of the question. Is there a 'manual' fix for this, where we can provide a water source to the fridge? i.e. (sorry in advance for these silly ideas!) Can we run a hose from the sink faucet to the back of the fridge only when we need to make ice or water? Can we place a large container of water behind the fridge and feed the fridge's water link into that?

Please suggest any "temporary" fixes to our problem without having to redo an entirely brand new kitchen!

In the early days of Askville, Askville seemed much more like a "community" than it does now--where everybody got to know one another (for good or bad), and many formed groups of friends who more-or-less hung-out in the same Discussion Boards, and complimented and PMed one another on a semi-regular basis. Sure, some of us got into arguments from time-to-time, but they rarely escalated into the vile types of DB exchanges that now seem to seem to be becoming the "norm" on here.

What makes it even worse is that a great many early members have either left Askville entirely, or show-up only rarely these days--leaving Askville mainly to "drive-by" Question askers and transient members I've never even heard of! Most of the "old guard" has virtually disappeared (to the delight of many of the more trollish newer members!), and I--for one--take little or no delight in coming here anymore.

Why hang-out with a bunch of strangers--many of whom are downright unpleasant?
