About Us: The Askville Development Team

Askville is brought to you by...

Joseph Park

Co-Founder, The Askville Mayor

Joseph leads the team in developing the long-term vision and product roadmap for Askville. As the Askville Mayor he is responsible for reading all user feedback and does his best to keep Askville a friendly and welcoming environment.

Fai Leong

Co-Founder

Fai is the unofficial smoke jumper on the Askville team. He has made many daring jumps, fought many fires and has emerged out of the woods unharmed so far. He has logged his 188th jump to date and was last seen parachuting into Questville with shovels, chainsaws, pumps and a pulaski.

Christian Cabanero

Co-Founder

Christian (username Chumpboy) is one of the senior managers on the Askville team and uses a big cattle prod on the team's software developers, which is why they develop so many awesome features at break neck speed. Christian's idol is the manager from Dilbert.

Alexander Davidson

Alex spends mornings pondering how people experience Askville, afternoons coding up website features and evenings designing those buttons to look just a bit more shiny. He's also an accomplished practicing black belt (in javascript -- actually a ninja now).

Abhishek Dubey

Abhishek has been designing and developing software for Askville since Day 1. Of course it wasn't called Askville back then (and he promises he had nothing to do with that choice later :) He enjoys playing guitar, scuba diving and lurking on Askville by night.

Sam Lee

Sam usually hangs out in the photography topics, persuading other Askvillers not to get fancy equipment. He also enjoys chatting about food and current news.

Kurt "Incognito" Askvillager

Kurt is a software developer on the Askville team. He shares responsibility for bringing you many of the fine features you know and love. In his (limited) free time, he enjoys working on his pet software project -- an interactive 3D version of Askville soon to be delivered on all major next-gen gaming platforms. He wishes to remain anonymous, so his boss won't tell him he has to deliver his pet project by next Thursday.

Colin Loh

Colin, a professional Broadway reject with delusional dreams of winning Wimbledon, a Hollywood Oscar and the Nobel Peace Prize, spends his days writing code for Askville and his nights lamenting his quest gold poverty.

Martin Frank

Martin works on Askville's scalability, performance, and overall software architecture. He is deeply in love with test-driven development, automated software quality metrics, and sparkly clean Java code. In his spare time he walks his dog while listening to software engineering podcasts. He is diamondcollie on Askville.

Aarti Thorat

Aarti is a software developer and joined the AskVille team in May 2007. Since joining the team she has worked on various backend features in Askville. When she is not tirelessly coding, Aarti loves to spend time with her family and try out new recipes. Aarti has a Master's degree from Oregon State University.

Vincent Lu

Vincent is relatively new to the project. He is currently working on user experience improvements and user privacy issues.

Yet Huynh

Yet is a developer, program manager, and social co-ordinator. Future aspiration is to become the next Donald Trump... but with better hair.

Brandon Yarbrough

Brandon (aka CodFisher) used to spend way too much time on Askville. Now, Brandon spends way too much time on Askville professionally.
