The last 6 months were slower growth, but he reached his maximum length at around 12 months. He started at 2 lbs and now weighs about 5-6 (depending on the day heh).

My Yorkie is 2 years old and just over 13 lbs. He’s not fat at all- just very stocky and muscular. I'm not sure how old he was when he maxed out at that weight, but when he was 10 weeks old, he was 3.2 lbs.
If you look it up on the AKC site or something, you can probably find out around when s/he will be full grown.

I want a medium size, medium haired dog that does not shed much. I do want them to be protective but not overly protective. I don't want a dog that barks all the time but also not one that never barks. Any suggestions?
My dog is a 4 year old black lab mix, she weighs about 75 pounds, is very gentle and good-natured and likes to play. I replaced the very old and worn carpet in my living room and hall way with maple hardwood because it will be easier to deal with her shedding, and I knew that she would scratch it some....and she is one of the family and so it goes.....However, today I tried putting baby booties on her, just regular newborn size cotton socks and (surprisingly!) she didn't mind a bit!!! Didn't try even one time to get them off. I can't hear her nails clicking on the floor, so I know the scratching will be lessened...My question is, is this OK for her??? Will her paws get too hot or start to grow some sort of fungus or some other odd disease?? I would much rather have a "lived-in" look on the floor than to hurt my friend!!!
Skinnie_Minnie, regarding your answer "It varies...":
I spoke to my parents last night (it's the family dog, so I don't have him at school), and my dog had his annual check up yesterday. Our vet commented that he's built like a tank, because he's broad and muscular and low to the ground. Like a tank.
He's always been built like that, ever since he was a little puppy. So I would think that if your puppy is built a little stocky, he might gain a bit more weight.
