When I used to do my own taxes manually, I preferred Lasser's Tax Guide and used it every year for many many years.

J.K. Lasser's Your Income Tax 2007: For Preparing Your 2006 Tax Return (J.K. Lasser) (Paperback)
by J. K. Lasser Institute (Author)

List Price: $17.95
Price: $17.95 & eligible for FREE Super Saver Shipping on orders over $25.

But, I have been using Intuit's Torbotax software for about 10 years now.  It is easy to use, excellent, and provides you with access to digital access to tax guides--governmental as well as private.  I cannot imagine doing taxes manually these days.

It called The Ernst & Young Tax Guide 2007.

Business week calls it "The last word on this year’s taxes."

It's $4.88, not bad.

Could you be more specific as to what you're looking for?
Will you be just doing your own taxes? Are you looking for personal taxes, Estate taxes, or Biz taxes (3 types of those)?
All of these are available at www.irs.gov, but we need more info to be able to get you to the resource best for you.
