"Which Survivor season do you believe is the best?"

I think the first season was great because none of the contestants had seen the show before, so there wasn't a lot of strategizing until well into the game.  Yeah, Richard was rather detestable, but he PLAYED the game.  Also, it wasn't just a bunch of pretty people on an island.  I think now the show tends to be buff, young contestants with a few token "characters" thrown in. 

 

My other favorite would have to be Pearl Islands, with the pirate theme - and Rupert!  I thought some of the twists were great, such as having the castaways dress in "nice" clothes, not telling them that they were heading to their islands and giving them the opportunity to buy/barter for supplies.  In that single season, they had both one of the most loved castaways ever (Rupert) and one of the biggest villains ever (Jon). 

 

Has this show really been on for almost eight years?  WOW!  The funny thing is that I almost never watched it - I was at work the day after it aired and one of my coworkers was talking about how great it was.  CBS happened to run a repeat of the premiere a few nights later as I was flipping channels - I got hooked :D

"Survivor: Africa"

It was the second or third season, back when I still watched it.  I loved it because the week before it started I chose the winner, Ethan.  I think I watched a few more seasons after that, but then I just didn't have time for it because of school and theatre.  I keep meaning to get back into it, but never do.  I think the last season I watched was the All Star season.  No matter what though Survivor: Africa will be my favorite season, because I was able to choose the winner.

Follow ups/ sequels always start losing something with each new piece. the original is always best just cuz it is original and a new idea
