Starbucks has long prided itself on being one of the premiere coffee roasters and grinders in the US and perhaps the world. That's why--to this point--they only offer percolated coffees in the US rather than an instant sort.
Some time ago someone wrote a parody announcement claiming they were introducing instant coffee (http://www.unconfirmedsources.com/?itemid=2409 ), but this is surely not the case.
You'll note that throughout this answer I've used "in the US" a number of times. That's because Starbucks -has- released a ready-to-drink type of coffee in South Korea. (Details here:
