Do they ever plan to make a sequel to the Hellboy movie starring Ron Perlman? Does anyone know?
They left the ending of the film open to a sequel, and I thought the movie was pretty good. Ron Perlman is a good monster (starred in the long running Beauty and the Beast TV series as the Beast)... The movie was out in 2004 so......

A: Good news for you! "Hellboy II: The Golden Army." It's supposed to be out July 11, 2008.
I had just heard about the sequel coming out a couple of days ago. After reading your question, I was trying to remember where I heard it. Not sure, but I think it was on the Sci-Fi Channel. So I googled "Hellboy Sequel" and the IMDb link came up, and when I clicked on it, there's just about everything you'd want to know about it, including one of the reasons why it probably took so long.

Revolution Studios was originally set to produce this sequel but had to pull out once Sony decided they no longer wanted to fund Revolution Studios. Sony put the rights up for sale since they felt Hellboy wasn't a profitable franchise for them. Universal felt differently and bought the rights to make the sequel immediately.

There's videos, trailers, plot summaries, and everything. You really want to visit the site, so I didn't bother copying much here. I was looking at the cast of characters and I saw that Roy Dotrice ("Father" from B&B) is in this one, too.
