A: The Capital is .....
Vientiane

Vientiane, capital of Laos is Asia’s biggest village. Busy and hectic in comparison to the rest of the country, it is quiet compared with any other city in Asia. Vientiane, as all of Lao’s major cities, is situated on the Mekong river which forms the lifeline of the country. Vientiane is the hub for all travel in the country. The city has a population of 450,000, about 10% of the country.
Vientiane is a city full of surprises. You can find fields of rice and vegetables, agriculture hidden behind tree lined avenues. French Colonial architecture sits next to gilded temples. Freshly baked French bread is served next to shops selling noodle soup.
There is very little that is modern in Vientiane. Old French colonial houses are being restored as offices and as restaurants and hotels. There are only a handful of modern buildings which sometimes look remarkably out of place in this quiet capital.

Q:
Is there a market for medical capital equipment in Africa? For example, in Nigeria?
Capital equipment such as Xrays, ultrasound, and MRI machines?

A: The market is small because infrastructure to support install equipment does not exist.

The are many reasons why the market for captial medical eqipment in Africa will remain very small for the forseeable future. First, and foremost, there are not enough skilled technicians to operate and repair the equipment. If there were skilled technicians the availability of parts would still limit the market. There is a great need for capital medical equipment, thereby some hospitals and some countries will have them. But the demand will always be limited until the population attracts and retains skilled workers.
Africa also has a huge demand on it's resources by a large number of patients needing basic medical procedures and attention.

Sources: In my opinion, the market for capital medical equipment in Africa is very small.

A: The short version and the long version
Das Kapital is a tough book to get into. You really need a strong grounding in political economy before you start. It's "primary source material", meaning that it's an attempt to prove a thesis, rather than an introduction for the lay reader.
If you need a gentler introduction, try the Gateway edition. It's been abridged, but that's a good thing, because the full edition is a major slog.
If you want the full edition, the Penguin edition is a good deal. It's two volumes, and each is a weighty tome by itself. The translation is accurate, and written by a translator who knows economics. It's available online, too, if you want to start reading before you get your copy.
