A: "Fair And Unbalanced."
Fox news always reminded me of that old Soviet style newspaper called Pravda (The truth) during the cold war years. It, too, had a doctrine which was merely a mouthpiece for the Russian poitburo the same as Fox News has for the Bush administration. They're bascially just an updated version of yellow journalism, and not worth watching because of their bias slant and fabricated stories they run just to increase their ratings. All the other networks have their opinions and viewpoints, but at least they don't border on sensationalism as their primary mode of what they consider fair and balanced reporting of the news.

A: They did the very right thing, and I think I know why.
They know the famous quote, "They came for the socialists and I said nothing because I wasn't a socialist." It's about the Hitler era and goes on as various groups are eliminated until, "They came for me and no one was left to say anything." In other words, once a person starts this kind of evil, he does not stop. The moment Fox News is eliminated, the person would merely turn on the next target until control of all was obtained. I think they saw this coming (not like it hasn't been done elsewhere many times) and decided to try to prevent it.
What do you want to bet that the next step is tweaking FCC rules to sideline all of them?
