A: It Depends
|
Both shows are really good! I would recommend either to anyone going to Vegas. So, my recommendation depends on a few questions about your individual trip.
Are you seeing any other Cirque du Soleil shows? While "La Reve" isn't officially in the Cirque family, it was created by the former creative director of Cirque. So, it has a very similar feeling, tone, and acrobatic feats. If you are already seeing a Cirque show, then I recommend trying something different. However, everyone should see at least one show along these lines when in Vegas, so if you aren't; then "La Reve" might be your best option.
The Elton John show is pretty straight forward. There aren't any surprises (other than Vegas showmanship). If you like Elton's music, you'll probably thoroughly enjoy the show and the behind scenes glimpses. However, if you're on the fence about Elton (you only like a couple of songs), then this might not be the best option.
Personally, I liked Elton's show best. I find the Cirque shows to be entertaining, but all very similar in tone. Elton's how was a nice change.
Have fun.

A: Maybe, maybe not

The flu is a virus (influenza virus) and can be passed through contact.
Your chances of getting the flu is higher if:
-you kissed on the mouth: saliva will carry the germies.
-the person you kissed has a fever. People are more contagious during and slightly after a fever
-your immune system is weak or you don't fight infections well. Aids, leukemia, old age, chronic condition such as diabetes to mane a few.
Your chances of getting the flu are lower if:
-you kissed on the cheek: less direct contamination
-you had a flu shot. Not a guaranteed prevention, just reduces you chances of getting flu overall
-you are normally a "healthy" person
-you eat well and exercise well. The body is less likely to get sick (overall) if it's well maintained.
Of course you could have direct contact with the flu and still not get it. It's not so pathogenic that everyone exposed to the flu gets it. Coughing isn't necessarily a flu symptom so the reason for the coughing would indicate whether or not you're likely to get it. For example, is it due to common cold, bronchitis, asthma, pnemonia, etc?
Basically, there's no definitive answer. Sorry! You'll have to wait and see.
