A: here is some information for you
I lived in Lincoln Park (North of Navy Pier) and we would walk through our park to the beach on Lake Michigan and watch the fireworks from there, Here is some comparisons of the boating trips for fireworks

As for pizza boy have you picked a great city to go to.
Personally I would suggest Gino’s East or Pizzeria Uno’s and Duo’s
The crust is yellow because of the corn meal in it. and plan on taking some pizza back, Most people can not make it through an entire pizza. If you like wine you might try Bolla Bardolino which goes well with these pizzas.

Gino’s East
162 E Superior St
Chicago, IL
60611
Cross Street: N Michigan Avenue
Pizzeria Uno
29 E. Ohio
Chicago, IL
60611-2707
Cross Street: Wabash Avenue
Pizzeria Duo
619 N. Wabash
Chicago, Il
Phone: 312-943-2400
Cross Street: Ohio
If I had my choice I would go to Gino’s East you should call them all to see how crowded they are, Uno’s is always crowded with tourists. Also if you fall in love with this type of pizza and are desperate they all can fedex a partially cooked pizza to you (packed in dry ice) it is expensive but cheaper than a flight and a hotel in chicago
