I can't locate one with "World" in the name, but that doesn't mean there isn't one.
One of the best is this one: http://www.tenthousandvillages.com/home.php. Ten Thousand Villages has a number of shops in the US and Canada, and you can also shop online. Their handicrafts come from all over the world, and they have very commendable fair trade policies which make sure that the artisans producing their world receive a good value for their efforts. Their quality is very high.
There is another website which offers only very limited selections, as most of their efforts are bent toward helping women around the world set up and run handicraft projects. Most of the products created through their programs are sold locally, but they do offer a small selection of items for sale through their website, where you can also find information about sponsoring projects or volunteer work. This is the Women for Women International organization, and their website is at: http://www.womenforwomen.org/bazaar.htm.
Another outstanding website is http://www.novica.com. NOVICA is a genius idea--artisans from around the world market their work through the website, and will ship directly to the customer. It is a site full of wonderful things; not only jewelry, but all sorts of handicrafts and works of art. The founders of NOVICA are travelers and travel writers who were ambitious to help talented craftspeople reach a broad audience, and there are rigorous quality standards which apply to all artisans who participate. The site has an "in association with National Geographic" imprimatur on the logo, but I couldn't determine just what the connection was. The prices for the items I looked at seemed very reasonable, and their is good information about shipping, returns, customer satisfaction and an impressive list of testimonials.
Sorry I couldn't find a "world" name for you, but there is some wonderful jewelry and other handicrafts on these websites. Enjoy browing them!
