Details:

* The Askville Orientation Challenge: a new set of 5 challenge steps designed to help new members get a handle on Askville's core features. Existing users can also take part -- in fact many of you have already met all of the requirements. Learn more on your My Askville page.

* Askville Awards: we're launching with two initial awards: The Orientation Challenge Award and the Veteran Award. For more details see the awards link in the Experience box on your My Askville page. (We're planning to add more awards so please send us your feedback).

* My Askville changes: You can now expand and collapse the toolbar and the right sidebar boxes on your My Askville page and we'll remember how you've set them.

* We've added some new filters to the question asking process to minimize disruptive questions by "drive-by" users. If you continue to see poor quality questions please report them with our new "Poor Quality Question" category in the report abuse form.

This will automatically page an Askville moderator if an abuse report threshold is met for any alleged abuser. Because of this you should see improved weekend and weekday moderation coverage.

interested in. The PQQ category is just another (subjective) way for community members to let a moderator know that something might need reviewing.

could close the possibility of answering a question before it gets any answers? This would be helpful for Wakey Wakye or FANAMOs questions as well as this very question, that you probably don't want any answers.

I am guessing this feature is already available to Askville Team members, because I have seen them locking answer slots.

Here's some things I would love to see:

- more answers per question. It doesn't have to be unlimited, per se, but five is so few. I would imagine that at some point, they'll probably have a premium membership offering that has more benefits, like more answers to questions, etc.

- the ability to move forward and backward when browsing postings by date. Maybe a pagination system. Next. Next. Next. It's just not working out for me.

that's all I can think of right now.

	"How many movies are going to release on april 10?" (2 answers)

"Askville release notes for Wednesday November 19, 2008. Any issues so far?" (1 answer)

* New "Remember me" feature on the sign-in page which will prevent returning members from having to sign in to Askville every day (when using the same computer). Five coins will still be paid (at most once every 24 hours) for visiting when you have Remember me enabled. If you do not explicitly sign out, Remember me will remain active for 4 weeks, after which you will need to sign in again.

* Bonus Questions will not be listed on the homepage or on the "See more" pages linked to from the homepage (for signed-in users only)

* Anonymous comments on discussion boards now show whether they are by the anonymous asker or an anonymous answerer and if they are replies to a specific post or an answer

* Miscellaneous bug fixes

	"On June 16 Microsoft's Xbox Live will be down for maintenance, what are some of the new features being added?" (2 answers)

	"Askville has many new features today. What new features would YOU add?" (1 answer)
	Pretend you're calling up the Askville Team. What would you ask for? What would improve Askville for you? Please feel free to suggest non-technological enhancements (for examples, specific changes in policies) as well as technological ones.

We're pleased to announce that tonight's release has some exciting new features:

* Completely revamped Achievements page (via My Askville) showing your current progress and providing the ability to sort your earned achievements

* Clicking "see more" on topic pages will no longer jump over 10 of the questions
