Details:

I have a small home ethernet network using a LinkSys router. My Dell XPS desktop has two 120 GB SAT hard drives. All computers connected to the network are running Windows XP. I do video editing work and need reliable speedy external hard drive storage.

I'm not so crazy about the driver installation required for each PC that needs to use the drive, but I do think that drawback can be cancelled out by the fact that no IP configuration is required. A BIG plus for small network or home network users. I found this comment on www.zdnet.com

"Unlike most NAS drives, the NetDisk isn't assigned an IP address, and you don't need to mess with the DHCP server on your router, nor do you need to map the drive to your PC--it simply appears as a local drive upon installation."

The transfer speed comparison in the above article is what sold me! The price ain't bad either!
